Portland (Maine) : A city of Islands.... And eye catching lighthouses. With the one day of visit I really felt in love with this city. This is well know destination for the travelers in summer. Its open for lot of festival and activities. Portland is the capital of Maine state which is one of northern state of US and shares the Canada border. But in Maine Portland is southern side and which is just 3 hrs from boston. As it is bay area the so Cosco bay is very famous. Lobster festival is one of the well known festival here. Portland has so many lighthouses. How to reach : From Boston 1. Take a flight from boston 2. By road : Take I-95 towards North (approx 2 and half hour 112 miles) 3.
